Recognizable for the flags hanging out front.Gordon renovated the property many years ago and has operated an albergue of sorts since. There is a drink and snack table at the front gate of the property for anybody passing through the village. High marks from pilgrims who have stayed here.

Gordon is sick so not able to open. Don't know if it is for season or short while.

Gordon Bell is the reason to stay at Casa Banderas. He is a lovely expat South African. The welcome is warm, the location is right on the Camino 2 KM before Portomarin, and it is small and an intimate place to stay at good prices. The negatives are it is next to a dairy farm which can be noisy at night and smell.
