Camino de Sant…

Stayed here May 25th. It's really nice and rustic. I didn't have the pilgrim menu but had a tortilla with salad and bread and this was delicious. As was the bocadillo I had later. The pilgrim menu smelt delicious so am sure this was tasty also. A lovely place for a relaxing evening.

Lots of trees and grass, shade and sun surround this solid, handsome stone building. It contains a tall, communal dining room decorated with old farm equipment (and furnished, at mealtime and for a reasonable price, with heaping piles of delicious food). The rooms are in back in comfortable dorms - I had the good fortune of being placed in a room with 2 bunks inly evem though I didn’t pay for that luxury. As usual in these amazing places, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside is that I attracted mites or some sort of biting insect.probably when I was carelessly walking barefoot in the grass.and got about a dozen really itchy bites on my legs that have not quite gone away a week later. It is the countryside, after all.I blame myself, but mention this just to irge caution to fellow city-slickers. The room is clean, but nature is not a renaissance painting just because the day is done and you are resting and euphoric.

Really comfy dorm with decent space for your backpack. Good pilgrim menu and a la carte menu looked great too ( as did the cakes). Lots of character, a great place to stop.

The owners seemed stressed. The shower was cold, but the food was good.

I arrived late without a reservation and was very lucky to get the last bed of the day (12€). The owner (Gonzalo) and his wife are lovely, charming people who have created a great albergue with plenty of tranquil places to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. The Pilgrim Menu (12€) was delicious and one of the best meals I’ve had on the whole Camino so far.
Highly recommended.if you’re lucky enough to get a bed!

The most perfect place for a rest and relief from the hoardes. This beautiful albergue, with wonderful gardens and a hammock to snooze in. With an owner who understands the pilgrims' needs. Thank you
