Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Jose says I don't have a reservation. I show him my what's app conversation that proves he confirmed a bed for the night. He was obviously pissed that I was right. Just started the whole experience on a bad vibe. Dudes energy is really intense. He wanted me to use washer and dryer for my laundry. I always wash by hand , as its socks, underwear and a quick dry t shirt. I had to use bathroom sink . The dry area is a dirty railing outside the window. I didn't understand that he wanted to show me how to hang my stuff. Was all weird when he caught me doing it myself. (Again with the weird energy) I'm pretty dusty and tired after a long walk, and I felt like laying him out. Hostility makes me react in kind..... must be the Irish in me. Lots of choices in this town, get this guy out of the pilgrim business

He charged an extra 1 euro for the protection bed covers. Why?? Other albergues included that in their fee.
He didn’t make sure there was toilet paper in the women’s bathroom.
Bed ans Bathrooms were clean.
1 shower and 1 toilet in each sex bathroom.

And, more importantly, if you are later than 1 minute past 830, there is NO break. 830 or nothing.

This host was rude.

Attention to detail, Jose is very kind and thinks of everything. The rooms are modern with high, comfortable bunk beds, each with charger and shelf with light. Great showers, washing machine, kitchen, fridge, coffee machine. He even has rollers for sore muscles. In the morning he had our shoes placed on the steps with a bum cushion, a shoe-horn and card! He is also the baker, so in the morning he's open downstairs for fresh bakes.

This Albergue is closed to the river and after a difficult walk from Rabanal del Camino it was just I wanted. There is enough space between the bunk beds, we stay only three women in the room and the hospitalero was kind enough to help us with laundry. Also, the next morning when we left he provided us with pillows on the stairs to put on out shoes and a nice card with Molinaseca, Highly recommend Albergue Senot Oso!

I had good expectations based on some of the reviews here. But there was no fan no AC and no curtains on the windows so if you open the window you get a bright light shining on you all night. But you have to open the window because the room is so hot. Also he locks you in until just about 6 AM which I think is a safety hazard for a fire.

Excellent facilities, very modern, run by an ex pilgrim so plenty of details like small rooms, lights for each bed, great washer/dryer which make the place special. No dinner but plenty of options in town.

July 2021…great location, very clean, the Hospitalero is also the towns Baker…fresh bread & pastries in the morning if desired…nice small kitchen with a coffee machine that surprisingly made Great coffee!! It’s a small albergue with very good wifi. Hospitalero has tons of info on the journey ahead if you inquire. Closes at 22h. I left a few items in the locker provided and he personally drove and returned my items to the next hostel I was staying…class act!

The albergue seems fairly new. The beds are good and very solid, the rooms are not crowded. 1 toilet 1 shower for ladies the same for men.
But the owner is an absolute control freak that will be on top of you for absolutely anything. He gave me the freaks and because of this would not stay here again.
The town is worth staying, its a gem.
