Camino de Sant…

We walked in feeling terrible - wicked head colds - and they switched us out to a private room. The gentleman carried my pack so I must have looked a mess. I was able to take supper up so we wouldn’t spread the illness. We decided to take a rest day in Ponferrada and the gentleman called a taxi for me.
The rooms are lovely. The garden is too - I only wish we could have enjoyed it more.

Camino de Sant…

Treated myself to a single private here for €35 a tiny slice of unexpected luxury it was the nicest room and best shower I’ve had on the Camino. The manager was friendly and helpful too.

Camino de Sant…

Really enjoyed Albergue Santa Marina! The rooms were very clean and comfortable with alot of space between beds! There was a nice yard down below and a covered patio upstairs, along with plenty of indoor communal space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved my stay here!!

Okay but soul free. Kitchen in an unlit outdoor area under the building.

Came here and had a warm welcome. Single beds and the showers are hot and go at full force. No complaints, i like the place. Slept in worse that where highly recommended. Just a little walk into town.

michael

Nice and peaceful thanks to its position a bit outside of town. Single beds for all!!! All generously spaced. There is a huge window overlooking the hills outside of town. A street level lounge area is complemented by a sunken garden area with plentiful space for washing and drying clothes. There is even a small, sheltered outdoor kitchen (though I did not use it). Only downside is that the communal dinner is pasta.no other option for someone with allergies. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the building os decorated by interestig newspaper articles and original art.

Great showers, nice and clean.

I highly recommend the new albergue Señor Oso in town. So much better than this one. I stayed her for one night, and it was not good compared to others more pleasant albergues.

Struggled staying here with reviews above. The staff may have changed. Couple was nice and friendly. Facilities were clean and rooms were very spacious. Beats staying in a crowded busy Albergue in town. Glad I stayed here.

michael

They say the albergue is close, but make you a reservation for the albergue compostella.
