Albergue Casa de la Abuela

Basic albergue,stayed in Sept 2020 so season is much quieter than usual.

Sept 2020. The hospitaleros were very friendly and helpful. I've stayed there 4 times now, and it's always been good. Price gone up but it's been a very hard year. It has a great atmosphere and right on the square where you can chill out and eat.

Very unfriendly person. 15 euro + obligatory 1euro for laundry. Whole kitchen and tables where closed of, so no place to sit or have a sandwich. At 7 in the morning came rude in te room lights on windows open and said you have to leave now and started to clean the toilets etc, so no more use of the bathroom. we where stil in the hostel. There where only 3 people. Never again
And that's also what the 2 other pilgrims said.

Welcoming and in a perfect location near the plaza. Very clean. We were in a large room with 2 bunks. Some rooms had more bunks. Dinner was just right for us. Reasonable price.

Super friendly host who will wash your clothes for 50 cents. Meal was lovely, great friendly vibe.

We stayed here but didn't choose the breakfast or dinner option. Right away the hispuralero was very i unhospitable and remained curt and grumpy with us for the remainder of our stay.. seems to be a grumpy town the lady in the panderia was weird told us to be quiet as soon as we entered the shop. Tranquilo she demanded and yet she had radio blaring!
Good meal at hotel mayvi and it had air con.
Did not love Los Arcos.

This is the place to stay, if for no other reason than the experience of the family-style dinner. The host and hostess have personalities that light up a room, and the cooking is well worth the 8€. Beds are standard, bathrooms very clean, plenty of space for belongings in bedrooms.

Mixed opinion of the place. A few too many beds for my tastes, the ladder to the top bunk is awkward when your feet are tired and blistered (I speak from experience) and the ladder top isn’t quite wide enough which makes it hard to go up & down.

Staff were friendly, washing still ultra cheap

Really wonderful albergue run by a Sara & her family. Clean, comfortable rooms & showers. Great family-style dinner (7pm sharp) for 8 euros & nice breakfast for 3.50. She will was your clothes for 50 cents. Best place yet.

Over all, a nice place to stay. 0.5euro wash service sounds good but smells bad (shared laundry with other pilgrims)
