These distances are exact, but are based on a straight line from point to point. Actual walking distances will be slightly longer.
Dormitory cramped - bathroom ok - pilgrim meal poor/marginal - steep staircase - back area a wreck - garden area in front other side of building site of Main Street. Pizza place up road nice. Astonishing location of village makes it special.
I did enjoy the fire going in the fireplace upon arrival
Just ok. Pilgrims lined up on stairway from sleeping area waiting for access to locked area of albergue in morning for thirty minutes. Limited toilet/shower for number of pilgrims.
In a white-out snow storm in January this place was a welcome albergue. Warm fire, good wine, solid supper, and warm bedrooms. Totally a hippy mindset but everyone means well and is there to help. Well with stopping.
Nice place to stay. When I got there they let me have any bed, they didn't assign beds which is sometimes annoying. The top floor was wonderful. Take a bed on the floor if you can (but try it first. Mine was lovely...my friend said hers had a big dip in the middle and was tough to get out of, but all floor beds are two mattresses stacked and it was so nice to not be in a bunk. The showers are not very clean, wear your shoes. We had a chilly evening and so someone had ignored the no open window policy and opened it during the day. At night, slide the curtain for shower room open and open that window; open bathroom window and crack that door, there is also a hallway window near stairs that opens and cools the room in evening. If these aren't open, I could see how it could get warm! It was 8 euro for a bed and a decent breakfast, 9 for dinner. Dinner was soooo delicious!! Good itself and bed make it worth it. Nice atmosphere.
