Camino de Sant…

I stayed 26th April 2023,in the private area.
There is a nice kitchen, dining table and lovely sitting corner.
The room was comfortable with private toilet and shower.

One thing I would like to mention is Rocio is super kind person. She takes care of Guests very much.
When I had my backpack mis delivered to the other albergue two villages away. She phoned to every albergue until she found it! Just amazing. Great She drove her car to collect it to San Juan de Ortega! Her dedication to her guest pilgrims is awesome.
I should call her as my Camino angel.

Camino de Sant…

We stayed at a private room for two with private bathroom. It was certainly one of the best private rooms on the Camino so far! Very clean and comfortable. The hostess is very nice and helpful. She accepted our reservation via WhatsApp a day before. (Have in mind that they do not accept reservations for bunk beds though!)
The albergue has a big and lovely area outside where you can relax.
The only downside was that they do not offer food and the town itself does not have many places to eat. We came in the afternoon on Monday and the two restaurants do not work on Mondays.
We found a nice food in a bar nearby (Cantina de Atapuerca), but it was almost over, so make sure to arrive early if you are here on Monday.
There is a convenient kitchen in the albergue though, so you can buy your own food from a small supermarket nearby. The supermarket does not offer many things, but is surely a good option.
Overall I highly recommend albergue “El Peregrino” Atapuerca!

Camino de Sant…

Rocio was very helpful to get me In quick. Fast Check in.
Laundry facility though washing machine has sign it doesn’t work.
Restaurants and small grocery in town. Beautiful town.

Close to all things needed.

No WiFi. Sign says talk, get to know one another.

We stayed in the private room w a bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Building has a great kitchen and dining room - would have been perfect to cook and hang out with Camino friends. Great value for 30 euros especially.

michael

Had a double room here and it was clean and comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom. Nice courtyard to sit in and plenty of drying lines.

michael

The town has free WiFi so even tho the Albergue doesn’t if you go out on the lawn you will have access. Walls are thin so you hear everyone walking to pee in the night. Had a line for the shower.

The owner is very kind and welcoming. Beautiful and clean place. Great showers and small rooms.

Sept 2020.
Huge garden to relax in after walking which always is a huge plus for me. The owner is genuinely very friendly and helpful. Mix of single beds and bunk beds in each room. Very clean and welcoming. Comfortable walk from here to Burgos so this is a good place to stay.

Very nice. Lots of green grass and outdoor tables. Kitchen is open except cannot use stovetop. The rooms have 3 single beds and a bunk but because of COVID they only allow 3 people per room. There are 5 showers but again because of COVID only 3 are open. Very clean and the owner is very nice. Only downside I could find is that there is no WiFi. There is a restaurant in town with WiFi. There is also a small supermarket in town that even stays open during siesta. I would highly recommend.
