Camino de Sant…

Very clean. No bed bugs. Joachim was kind and helpful. You get mattress and pillow covers. Would stay here again.

Camino de Sant…

One person claims to have found a single bed bug.
People need to realise that bed bugs are brought into the albergues by pilgrims/hikers.
It is perfectly possible that the complainer brought the offending bug into the albergue on his pack or his clothing.

Camino de Sant…

i found a bed bug when inspecting my bed and brought it down to the albergue owner. they denied it was a bed bug, saying that they have some “certificate” that proves they don’t have bed bugs from the beginning of the year. keep in mind that i was checking in october, late in the season, but the owner still insisted that their certificate was valid. when i asked for a refund, the owner got aggressive and threatened to call the police if i didn’t leave immediately. while the albergue itself looks nice, the owners are awful, and don’t seem to care one bit about the health and safety of their establishment

I read the previous posts and think maybe they hired a new cook—because the food was excellent. A butternut squash soup, beautiful mix salad and generous paella, with lovely custard and cookie for dessert. My bunk was a heavy solid wood and the room in the attic has single beds. I’d stay here again!

Very friendly - dorms upstairs are nice, but a bit too less air when door and windows are closed. In two of the 4 bathrooms the lightbulbs were missing - no light. The menu (salad, paella, fruits and yoghurt, wine, bread water = Euro 10) was just excellent. If you eat vegetarian be very precise to tell them that you don’t want fish and ham as well :)
Breakfast was only re-heated coffee with milk, fruits and some packed cake from the shop. The nice family offered me to clean my laundry for free. Unfortunately they were not well organized and in the morning it was not dried - so I had to wait for half an hour. :( all in all it has been a nice stay, but the are not well organized.

Auberge is Okay-ish.
Sleeping is alright, showers are nice (unfortunately they forgot to put on the hot water, cold showers until someone complained), but go somewhere else for dinner. Salad was fine, paella was yellow rice with green peas and carrots. .

It appears this place has changed hands and they are not well organized. They have added a red barn like or casa roja and it is like an old storage. 7 beds 6 inches apart with dusty mattresses. Oversold the place and they are not reliable.

Last minute reservation for 3 people travelling together.
We were fully aware at €14 each that this would be standard accommodation. However what a surprise!
Cold, dusty, electricity clicking on and off, thin mattresses, unclean blankets, thin linen barely enough toilet paper.
We were in the overflow barn. Young staff working there tried their best.

I read prior notes and was a bit anxious about this place but it was a good place to stay. I did not opt in to dinner or breakfast, but a friend did and she said it was quite good. I had them do laundry and it took too long and was not dry. All that said, I liked the place and would recommend it.

The rooms are overcrowded, the bathrooms have lots of mildew and no ventilation. The dinner, which cost €10 was the most disappointing thing ever. Okay salad, followed by whatever the Spanish version of Dinty More canned stew and three canned pineapple rings for dessert. I hate this place so much.
