Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Beautiful location and very friendly people. Great facilities (apart from refreshments but it’s in the middle of nowhere so that makes sense). The speech the man gave was very long and a bit condescending at times but he’s a lovely man who really loves his Albergue and the Camino. Not racist at all like some people were saying. Good meal (vegetarian option available). A really strong pilgrim vibe.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Got here exhausted and had nothing to be offered except water.

This Albergue had a cult type vibe to it which was shown when we were all starving waiting for dinner and then this old man gave a racist speech translated by his accomplice the giggling girl that went on for over an hour and had numerous people annoyed due to the length of the speech and racist comments and constant giggling. The whole thing was just a waste of time and he told basically told us to wonder off the trail and get lost.

The dinner was good but some of the volunteers were very rude to the pilgrims. The old man then rang a very loud cowbell and told us it’s not about donations but donate. (Something he made clear severely times). I donated 20 euros out of fear that I’d be attacked in the night.

Left at 4 am due to being too frightened to sleep (some guy was sleeping outside) do not stay here

got there at 2 was offered a glass of water then showed to my room no
refreshments to buy until dinner which was supposed to be at 8 but then some old guy did a talk for over an hour that put everyone to sleep by the time he was finished we were all running to the dinner table but then he said no theres more its art talk now by the time we finished dinner it was 10.30 was constantly reminded to make a donation

So food and accommodation is by donation and the food is good and beds ain’t horrible for a donativo however not a big fan of the hour long talk the old guy gave which some Spanish speakers told me was somewhat racist? Definitely some Charles Manson vibes about this place, left at 5am might be your kinda spiritual place but was a miss for us

They are still open

Interesting place :’). Agree with the ‘sekt/cult’ feel. But facilities are good. Dinner and breakfast served. There is a ‘talk’ before dinner by the (85 y/o) owner. Nearest bar is 1,5k away.

It’s got quite a nice spirit for the Camino. Maybe a bit overcrowded - they have three floor beds! But overall was lovely. Donativo. Dinner and breakfast included. Nice hospitalero. Have us a tour and history of albergues owner. Worth staying to feel a real pilgrimage!

A must stay. They served us lunch, dinner, and breakfast in community style. Ernesto built the albergue in his grandfather’s home. He’s a great man and has such a wonderful story. This is definitely an albergue you should plan your itinerary around.

Really clean and lovely

Lovely owner and amazing accommodation - worth the stop!
