This place was in an area that was a tad less than scenic, but don’t judge a book by its cover! We had a great time here. Hope checked us in. She speaks English as well as Spanish. She was so warm, friendly, and positive. She made the stay wonderful without seeming to try at all. We decided to eat dinner here and it was so, so fantastic! The food was just great. There are two choices for each course. I had the lentil soup and it was so good I asked for the recipe. (They didn’t have one since they just throw things in and eyeball it, but they gave me the ingredients list and a brief description). The quiche was so perfect and tasty, and so was the stewed chicken. My husband and I got different things to try as much as possible and we are so glad we did. It was all very good. Hope also gave us a pitcher of water, wine, and sangria for the table. It was a slow night so I am not sure if they always do that. They had a map of the city for us to use and we had no issues whatsoever. I saw a comment from a few weeks ago about bedbug bites. I was nervous after that review, but we did not see or find any evidence of bedbugs. Believe me, my husband is paranoid so he thoroughly searched our entire room. We did not get any bites, so I am guessing it is not an issue here.

High bunk beds, tasty dinner (lentils soup and quiche).
Unfortunately in the night I was bitten by bedbugs. So annoying!!

This friendliest albergue we've stayed in so far, clean sheets, comfortable beds and a nice lounge/living area. The pilgrims meal is great, and you can put your food in the fridge, plus get a plate to eat, but you cannot cook for yourself. Super friendly and helpful staff

Lovely place with lovely people. They also serve great food and are very close to the start of this camino and to the Frances. The centre of town is only a 10 min stroll away. Beds are provided with clean sheets and pillow cases. Also the is a dryer here for those wet days.
