Comfortable lounge area. Has a free space for companion dogs. Dinner is served in the Palozza nearby, it is a typical style of architecture in galicia known for it conical straw roof. A cozy and welcome rest on the mountain.
These distances are exact, but are based on a straight line from point to point. Actual walking distances will be slightly longer.
Friendly, welcoming place. Well maintained sleeping area and nice lounge area. Communal dinner was VERY good - served family style, plenty of food, and a little entertainment. The owner obviously enjoys her job! Unexpectedly good experience for a small, 1 alburgue town.
Clean and warm for a big room. Host are nice, love the laundry machine and dryer. $3 each in this ice snow weather is nice to have warm clothes. There are bucket for you to soak feet.
Very clean and comfortable Albergue. Best pilgrim meal I have had on the Camino. Worth the 9euro.
Clean, metal bunks. Meal was a great shared meal. Would stay again
Large comfortable dormitory rooms. Washers AND dryers available. Stocked with laundry soap. Great common room for socializing, relaxing, TV. Excellent communal dinner in nearby Celtic hut. Don’t let the modest front fool you. Spacious and comfortable.
The dinner was amazing. Long tables in a Celtic hut building, and great fellowship with other pilgrims. A special experience for sure.
This is a GREAT albergue! Still super-clean and friendly; the hosts genuinely care about the peregrinos who arrive. Sounds like a few things have changed since previous comments: 1) Women’s bathroom: 3 separate showers and 2 separate toilets; 2) Good central heating [Snow outside, so cold]; 3) Smaller, cozy separate bar and dining areas; 4) All bunks square-metal-framed, sturdy & comfortable; 5) Bunk €9; Dinner €10; Breakfast €4. Things that haven’t changed: 1) Lounge area still amazing with fantastic view; 2) Dinner home-cooked and delicious [Vegetable & Bean Soup; Beef Casserole with mushrooms, vegetables & Rice; Santiago Tart or Yogurt]. So comfortable, decided to take a rest day here... :-)
What an awesome surprise. We didn't expect much from a single albergue small village but here is why it's awesome: 1. The double room with bathroom was spacious, clean and had a great view and the dorm although big looked well spaced and clean. 2. Comments about shared area don't do it justice: besides amazing view, the place is super cozy with sofas and bean chairs, board games, foot massager and even a guitar. 3. Pilgrim meal was delicious - served in a great communal hall and with love. 4. Because this place is not the standard stop, we walked all day without having to fight crowds. Highly recommend!
Place is large, so lots of people in one room but comfortable. They have extra blankets if needed (make sure windows are open with so many bodies in there!!) very nice lounge area and nice owners. Delicious pilgrim meal with vegetarian option just around the corner/across the road. Make sure you bring laundry in before going to dinner. We got hit with a rain/hail storm! Only two toilet/shower combos for women which mean you might have to wait for someone to come out but facilities were clean enough and bunks comfortable. They do have an option for double bottom bunk for couples.
